The Cottage

The rural charm of the Quercy region is epitomised in the cottage with its thick stone walls and terracotta tiled floors.
Featuring two bedrooms, one twin and one double, a shower room, bathroom, fully-fitted kitchen and lounge/dining room, the cottage has everything required for a peaceful holiday in the French countryside.
The lounge/dining room has comfortable seating, a large dining table and 6 chairs, and features a traditional wood-burning stove. A television with British channels, DVD player and stereo/CD player are also provided. Four stone steps lead down to the fully-fitted kitchen with oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. A wooden staircase leads from the lounge to a double bedroom on the mezzanine floor.
Off the hallway beyond the kitchen is a wet-room comprising shower, WC and wash hand basin.
The second bedroom with twin beds and large en-suite bathroom/WC is ideal for children or the less mobile among us as it is on the ground floor with a door leading onto the terrace.
Steps lead from the terrace to the swimming pool which is protected by a laser alarm (a legal requirement) and fully enclosed for additional safety. Parents should note however that the pool is unsupervised and appropriate care should be taken in its environs. Every care has been taken to make Fournou as child-friendly as possible and we can provide a cot, cot bedding and high chair if required. Stairgates can also be fitted on request.
A fully equipped barbecue area is located at the top of the garden and there are many shady seating spots around the garden.
Co-ordinating bedlinen and towels are provided free of charge and we offer to change them every Saturday.
